Fur Suit head
Inspired by the fur suit community I wanted to try making a fur suit head of a character I designed.
I researched fur suits and costume design and made a plan to use foam carving to create the ridged structure and then cover it in fur.
Once I had sewn and glued the fur on I used pastels and chalk to add the primary colour rainbow across his eyes. Sadly the furs dark blue colour made the colours foggy and muted so after some research I used Spray paint to increase the pigmentation.

Latex Puppets
Inspired by videos created by Will McDaniel I wanted to try creating Latex Puppet. My first experiment with liquid latex was on my
puppet called Dale I made a monster clay base that I covered in Liquid latex then removed once dry.
A few years after I made a group film and after showing them Dale they requested me to made two more puppets for the animation called Dolly and Norman. During the creation on Dolly and Norman I decided to make some tweaks to the method to better work with stop-motion. I made the eyes moveable and I made the inside an armature instead of sewn like a plushie.
Teddy Bear Jacket
In collage I had a recycling project where I had to use a material that would have ended up in land fill to create a unique piece of art.
I new I wanted to do something unique I had seen so many bottle lid or recycled fabric garments that I wanted to try a material often
forgotten.
That's when I went to a charity shop and saw their basket of teddies I went home constantly thinking about the discarded teddies in the world and then it hit me.
I could recycle the teddies into a fur garment! Though as I was
making the garment I had a lot of Struggles from unpicking an insane amount of teddies to cleaning them then figuring out how to sew the fur without breaking the sewing machine or my wrist.
Once the garment was done I realized that the hardship had all been worth it as I had made the coolest patchwork fur jacket and saved a few teddies from landfill or the incinerator.

House In a Lantern
After watching the Book of the Dead film I wanted to try making a
diorama of the cabin in the woods.
I started with an empty Lantern and created a plan to remake the house and place it inside with some sticks to emulate the tall
unnatural trees from the film. I used these sticks to hide the wires that where used to power the red lights inside the house.
I searched up the set from the film and created a base for the house out of wooden sticks. then painted and added red Fairy light.

Paper Layered Tin
At my secondary school I was intrigued by pop up books and paper layering and when given the opportunity I wanted to try paper
layering myself.
So when I was told to make a project about monsters I grabbed out a small tin, a bunch of paper, fine liners and some foam.
The illustration in the tin is of a girl being stalked by Two yokai a Nukekubi and a Nekomata.

Worm Paintings
During a break between university years I procured three long canvases I had no idea what to do with. I brain stormed illustration for these canvases from pictures of ducks to anime characters but none felt right.
I new I wanted to hang these canvases over my bed but what to paint on the I could not decided. That is until I saw it a small broken worm on a string sitting on my desk.
I started by thumb nailing three worms hanging from strings then decided to go a bit dark and make two of the worms look at the center worm that was dead.

Resin Layered Piece
At collage I went back to look at old projects to get inspired and found a paper layered art piece. I was instantly inspired to do something similar with resin to separate the layers.
I started with a digital piece called box lord that featured a masked person in a room engulfed by boxes.
I sectioned the Illustration and started my first layer of resin (with help from my dad) I painted the closest things in frame then added another layer of resin. This continued until I had drawn all my layers
Then we placed the piece in a thick picture frame.
I regret how thick the resin layers where made since it is now very heavy and not suitable to be hung on a wall.
